Hey , remember all that potential I tell that Heroes Reborn had two week ago after the third episode ? Well , I do n’t recall I was technically untimely , but I do retrieve Heroes Reborn has managed to ware most of it over the last two instalment .
Almost nothing happened , and what little did occur was n’t that interesting . In fact , “ The Lion ’s Den ” was so boring that I do n’t even feel like I can do my storyline interest rankings , as they were all so dull . The most meaningful bit of information we got was that the nebulous threat that will destroy the earth — and that Malina the Last Airbender and this novel cell of Heroes are going block up — is a massive solar flare . Renautas seems to be preparing to help some the great unwashed outlast the apocalypse — they have a seminal fluid bank — although I have no thought how abduct EVOs and stealing their powers helps this . Molly Walker seems to think Renautas is going to cause the deaths of 7 billion people , which seems passably contradictory with the tidings that it ’s a solar flare .
( I would have it away for Heroes Reborn to have realize this is at odds and does n’t make common sense and have an result for it , but I frankly would be surprised if they have . )
So that ’s the main dispute , and it ’s precisely like time of year one of Heroes except you exchange Sylar with Solar Flare . Now that it seems likely that Reborn has added nothing new to the Heroes formula , I ca n’t even bring myself to desire that the show has a better ending this time ; nor do I recall that anyone working on the Reborn committal to writing faculty has any decent plan to salve the day that utilizes Malina the Last Airbender , Teleporting Kid , Luchador Batman , Chuck on Fire , and Rejected ‘ 90s Sega Mascot Samurai Girl — just like in Heroes time of year one , the only Hero that end up carry through anything was Nathan Petrelli , since he flew his exploding brother out to ocean .
The tragedy is that even though I drop last week ’s review — I was brainsick , if you were wondering , and did n’t cease my recaps out of disgust ( because this is still dependable than The Strain , tragically)—I can see you up quite speedily .

Luke ( Chuck on Fire)—Reveals to his crazy , murderous , and not - at - all - grieving wife that he ’s an EVO ; the wife leaves him in the middle of nowhere . Luke go home , is sad then sets it on fervidness .
Miko ( Rejected ‘ 90s Sega Mascot Samurai Girl)—Miko travels to America to get her blade . Things chance ; Miko gets her blade .
Oh , I guess that leave HRG and Quentin . They move to Renautas to recover Molly Walker for a second fourth dimension . After turning Renautas CEO Erica ’s girl Taylor against her female parent with full ease , they find Molly , but Molly blow her brains out without explaining anything . HRG , Quentin and Taylor subsequently accost Erica at her business firm , but Erica also does n’t explain anything and there ’s a big fighting and everyone go away .
Heroes Reborn has been refuse to resolve any of the mysteries it has set up , and most of the characters are already in make patterns — doing meaningless thing that do n’t throw out the story , just check it — which was the original Heroes ’ trademark . Maybe the show is just in a little rut ; maybe it has to hold up a bit before thing kick into the next paraphernalia ; maybe the young season was a picayune longer than they had anticipated .
Or maybe Heroes has ascertain nothing , and they ca n’t tell an interesting history as much as they can draw a second-rate write up out to excruciatingly irksome lengths . Whatever that Renautas gimmick was looks like it was made in an afternoon . The Flash search importantly better in all aspects , and that ’s a CW show , for goodness interest .
• After “ The Lion ’s Den ” ended , I checked Wikipedia to see how long the miniseries was . I was very sad to come upon that it ’s 13 episode , and not 10 or even 8 . So … that ’s pretty much where we ’re at .
