In last night ’s Fringe , a scorpion babe terrorizes a small Ithiel Town and reflects a father ’s desperate love . Also , Olivia larn the downside of superpowered earshot , and receive her guru ferment in a bowling skittle alley . Spoilers out front .
Last night ’s episode , “ Night of Desirable Objects , ” had me really immobilize for ZFT . Now , those folks knew how to throw a freaky Fringe Science party . Compared to their antics , the exploits of a only scientist who compound his son ’s desoxyribonucleic acid with that of a scorpion seem a fleck ho - hum . But we did get some great X - Files - inspired moments , and the case provided a serviceable backcloth for the show ’s overarch mythology .
Leave it to Walter to play in some visually eldritch science , replicating Olivia ’s car chance event in an attempt to fling a toad frog into the alternate proportion . The frog does n’t have any near encounters with William Bell , but it calculate jolly coolheaded as it flies through the air .
But one can only indulge in so much amphibian abuse before a new Fringe case crops up . This sentence the squad heads out to Lansdale , Pennsylvania , where the local anaesthetic have been going missing .
