My first first appearance . I was walk to my dorm around 5:30 PM ( do n’t allow the metadata frivol away you ) a few weeks ago when I noticed this beautiful little minute . I did n’t have my photographic camera on me , and I had no time to function back with it , so I just sat there and beheld it for a few minutes . I specify a reminder on my phone to keep my gearing on me an hour or so before the same time the next day , and luckily , I found a nearly identical scene . Had a friend pose for portraits between the Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree after this pellet as well .

I went for a pass on a drizzly Saturday in London with my macro lens and tripod . Walking around some trees in St. James ’s Park in Westminster , I spotted this one light-green skeleton leaf above my principal . Because of the meridian I had to shoot without my tripod so the thin breeze would ruin the picture . Took about 15 minutes of steadily holding my breathing spell ( and sometimes blaspheme under it ! ) to get a sharp physical body . pip with Nikon D300s with a Nikon 105 mm macro at 1/200s f/7.1 ISO 800 .

I was walk the neighborhood and saw these leaves in my neighbour yard . I had not witnessed this many coloring material in one sphere and thought to myself this would be a nice shot . I ’ve had some great attend getting good shots with my television camera headphone . perhaps someday I can afford to get a ‘ real ’ tv camera . This was shoot with an iPhone 4S , ISO80 , shutter speed 1/120 F - Stop 2.4 . I used two apps to tweak the colors Camera+ & snapseed .

I took this last weekend at Flaming Geyser State Park . I was standing on the span that spans the Green River at the commons ’s entrance , watching a group of fishermen compact into the water . When I looked straight down over the edge , I noticed the grass growing up from the bottom of the river was parting around a minor island . The people of color of the grass , confuse slightly by the move water , looked like a painting .

This place is in reality part of the runway around the old Fort “ Kastellet ” in copenhagen . This is the blank space I normally go running . At the fall it looks almost magical , at bit like a background knowledge from Lord of The Rings . That ’s the air I tried to achieve with the picture .

I know this shot is n’t exactly “ leaves ” , but you may see the colors in the scope . In the background is a mixture of leaf on the ground ( cottonwood ) , a Japanese Maple Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree ( the bolshie ) , a wild pear tree tree diagram and a plum tree tree diagram . This is our hombre Toby ( short for toboggan , we got him in the wintertime ) . He is a great hunting watch and his favorite prey is chipmunk .

I was wandering around the 2012 Euro Automotive Festival at the BMW Zentrum in Greer , SC a week ago , and this Norton motorcycle catch my centre . For some reason the dark-skinned , perfect , metallic efficiency of the motorbike , when silhouette against the brightly colored organic nature of the weed and leaves , made me stop and wait more closely . Plus , for us motorheads , I think the photo brings to take care the slightly somber feeling of the last rides of the season , before the weather condition turn cold and the cycle are cycle off into their garage for the winter …

During the school twelvemonth I seek to find people at mu University who are photogenic and are unforced to pose for me . They get it on to do it , and it prove me with good subject matter for my portfolio as well as practice session , and this makes them finger good about themselves . I ’ve always noticed the leaf phantasma that sometimes form on the sidewalk after a rain . They seem to conjure up a black bile that goes beyond the unproblematic loss of summertime ’s green . For this contest , rather than captivate a more standard image , I wanted to try and relate something else . Here we see the one leaf , already brown and fallen — contemplating , or maybe honour , ghosts of those who came before .

A Tree ’s Shadow – October 16 , 2012

I was walk around the St. Louis Arch footing and snap this motion-picture show . The kindling was just perfect and really showcased the xanthous / blood-red foliage on the Tree . I have it away the direct contrast against the fleeceable green goddess . I was using my Canon 7D ( 15 - 85 mm wide slant lens ) , f/22 , 1/40s , ISO 400 , 31 mm . I blue-pencil the photo in Lightroom to bring out the shadows .

Two weeks ago I get out and attempt to capture autumn in The Netherlands . Weather was nippy and light was awesome . Picking a depiction from that day was quite tricksy , but I finally locomote with the one I shut in . For me this catch the colours , light and beauty of fall . I was in the forest close to Wageningen ( NL ) and the shot was taken with a Canon EOS 50D with my 15 - 85 mm lense . setting were 85 mm / F7.1 / 1/125s @ ISO-100 . After shoot some autumn style picture show this one really popped out , the sunrise behind the brown / reddish birch tree - tree leave-taking took it all to the next stage . To me , this is fall , hazy cold weather and beautiful dayspring .

Little story behind the lens :
This exposure was taken at Shenandoah National Park . I was initially going there for a picture taking club meetup , however , after arriving to the meetup almost an hour and 30min late.(I find fault it on the dealings ) I decide to take the air the other lead myself , there ’s where I look this beautiful cherry leaf set down peacefully on layer of faded grizzly foliage . Without a second of hesitation I pull out my thickset camera and snapped this photograph , since it ’s the only macro lens I had on me .

This photograph was taken to begin with in the yr but I thought it would be a fitting submission as down here in Houston we do n’t really get to go through the change of the season we get to see either green or brown J This was taken using a Canon G11 photographic camera with a Hoya RM72 Infrared filter which still lets a little spot of visible colour to get to the sensor . The oddment solvent is a very unique dreamy like photograph

This summertime , The High Park Fire burn through northern Colorado , fanned by idle words over 50 miles per hour . The blackened Boxelder tree in the picture bore the brunt of fire and heat energy , becoming an early fatal accident on the fire ’s 2d Clarence Shepard Day Jr. . The fast moving fervidness kill the branch of this marvelous , knotty tree , but did n’t kill the roots . From the ashes around the tree trunk burgeon forth twigs of Modern life . Knowing about this competition , I keep an eye on these sprouts for foretoken of Autumn . ultimately , the yellowness arrived . The yellow leaves contrast against the black , dead bark of the Boxelder trunk . To me , it seems like a renewal , a way for nature to say , though Fall is here , life remain . Taken with a Nikon D60 18 - 55 mm lens on a gray afternoon .

BACKSTORY :
My girl Q and I had been project a fall foliage trip for several years , since our first trip to Boston , Mass. and New Hampshire . This class experience right and we ended up plan a 10 - day trip-up starting in Boston , and driving for days through the main road and hill of New Hampshire , Vermont , and Maine . It was unbelievable ! What was n’t incredible was me come forthwith sick of two days in , start in Burlington , Vermont – strike with a horrible sore pharynx , mad muscle , and a febrility that hold back me down . But we already had our days planned out , so I had to serviceman - up and lay in the railway car for two Clarence Day as we trek across the New England part . While Q force , we descend upon the White Mountains National Park . I was so unrestrained but I wanted to get out , even if my equilibrium sent me off the course !
We parked in one of the isolated parking spot in the Wood , and the fresh air travel hit my like a ton of bricks . I was shivering from the fever , but at the same sentence , grateful for the breeze ; it was very exhilarating . The temperature was just veracious , about 58 - 60 , and the sun was coming down in shallow streams through giant chunks of rainy clouds . But it never did rain on our entire stretch through this region , and I was grateful . We were able to take our time with the photography we wanted and not be rushed . Since I could barely move as it was , I made my way exceedingly slow getting through a pathway that led to the scene of this trope . There were two bridges here , and we choose the second so we would n’t have the few runners get in our shot . We had a tripod with us , but I figured even in my weak land I could take a good enough shot . There was absolutely no picnic in this area , except for the occasional tuft of air from the water below , and I steadied myself , held my breathing space , and took the image that you see here .
After taking a few other nip along the way , I was seeing principal at this point , and shambled back to the railroad car , go for hands with Q. The rest of our trip was a good time , and I bet back on my sick - ego and say “ really , really ? ! was i really that sick ? ! ” and yes , I was . But I am grateful I had enough strength to take those dig that day , the weather was unadulterated , and I could n’t have asked for a more adventuresome girlfriend .

My in - laws live in a condo atop a mountain in Vinings , Georgia , which has incredible views of the nearby woods and , on the visible horizon , downtown Atlanta and Buckhead ( to the right and left , severally ) . I was there recently and look a beautiful sunrise casting its rays over the colourful tree diagram below , and grabbed a 3 - shot bracketed vulnerability , merged into HDR via Photomatix . ( I accidentally was on P , which bracketed both the aperture and exposure times ; I should have locked the aperture at f/8 - 9 , but the results still add up out well . )

This motion-picture show was shot with my Nikon D5100 during a lunch fault at work . You would n’t recognize it but this tree is right across the street from a Jack in the Box . I spent all October looking at the leaves and color and the Bolshevik orange and yellow jumped out from this one . Then I thought the stark contrast between the leaves and the sky wait nice .

This image was taken during a walk in a nearby park at lunchtime . The foliage was vivacious all around me , and a view hap to me : If I lie down on a nearby bench , and point the camera straight up , I could enamor a 360 degree view with my fisheye crystalline lens . I select the stab , not thinking too much of it . When I saw the image later on on , I was pleasantly surprised how nice it descend out .

This picture was taken in my front yard . I saw that the leave of absence had start to descend and want to capture the leaves at ground level ( at their perspective ) . One Saturday in October my married woman leave me home alone with our elderly girl while she went to work . My daughter had been restless so I decided to take her to our local gardens / park to play . I like to get update picture every couple months and the Tree had just reached the peak of their colour for the year .
I make this pic as we get into into the park . Her eyes , like so many sentence , are distracted by something else . She dead turn away to look at the television camera and most of the time I am lucky if she even look in my oecumenical direction .
We spent the quietus of the day running around and chasing twat , one of her favorite pastimes . She can run around for minute taste to catch them and simply watching them .
I took this with my Nikon D90 , 50 mm Nikkor Prime Lens f1/8 lens , ready at f2.8 , 1/640s , ISO 500 . I fundamentally squatted down and looked up at my daughter with the camera . The day was mostly cloudy , but the sun peaked through from time to metre . I was very felicitous with the halcyon leaves on the tree diagram just behind her and tried to set it up as a background for her red outfit .
