Courteney Coxis not afraid to laugh at herself … or her hairstyles!
“What is that? Don’t wear that sweatshirt,” Cox says. “The bangs? Come on. That’s ridiculous. It’s embarrassing.”
After she heads inside to ask about the construction progress, eerie music is heard in the background as Cox looks at each sweatshirt. The first one she sees shows a photo from her time onMisfits of Science, which followed the “adventures of a team of misfit superheroes who fight crime for a scientific think tank.” In the 1985 series, Cox played Gloria Dinallo, who sported a bob that rested above her shoulders.
Before seeing another sweatshirt with herScream 3haircut, she sees a sweatshirt with a photo of her frizzy hair in the finale ofFriends’ninth season.

Friendsaired for 10 seasons from 1994 through 2004 and saw Cox play therole of Monica Geller. She starred alongsideLisa Kudrow,Jennifer Aniston,Matthew Perry,Matt LeBlanc, andDavid Schwimmer.
This isn’t the first time Cox has looked back at some of her iconic hairstyles. During anappearance onThe Drew Barrymore Show in January 2022,Cox said herScream 3bangs were “the worst.”
“I forgot about that. There was nothing worse. That was a big lesson in life because that will forever be on film,” she said while appearing withScreamcostarsNeve CampbellandDavid Arquette. Cox noted that she always tried to create a different signature look for her character in each film.

“EachScreamI would try to come up with a different look for her that was just over the top gross, or ugly or too much,” she said. Most recently,Melissa Barrerapaid homage to the hairstyle as PEOPLE’sfirst-ever digital cover girl in March.
Barrera shared a photo from the photoshoot in her Instagram story and wrote that she was “paying homage to@courteneycoxofficialScream 3bangs 😍 cause I think they’re 🔥.”
