After investigate China ’s two biggest mobile manufacturers for about a year , commission chairman Mike Rogers ( R - MI ) concluded ZTE and Huawei “ can not be trusted to be free of foreign state influence and thus pose a security menace to the United States and to our systems . ” The House account cite a laundry list of illegal behavior such as graft , corruption , in-migration violations , and so onward , but it did n’t provide concrete evidence , like the name calling of the accusers or even full details . It essentially take for granted that these companies could build in backdoors into routers and phones , and leak information to the Chinese administration .
ZTE and Huawei both vehemently refuse these claim . ZTE even say that the U.S. is such a small market for it that this probe does n’t even make sense . And miss substantial evidence , it could be just another grammatical case of China fear huckster . [ Reuters , BloombergviaThe Verge ]

The report give up by the Committee today use many rumour and speculations to show non - existent charge . This report does not address the challenges faced by the ICT ( data and communication engineering science ) industry . Almost every ICT firm is behave R&D , software coding and output activities globally ; they share the same provision chain , and the challenges on connection security is beyond a company or a country . The Committee ’s report card all brush off this fact . We have to surmise that the only purpose of such a report is to impede rivalry and block Formosan ICT party from come in the US marketplace .
Update 2 : Reuters is reportingthat Cisco has formally ended its relationship with ZTE after an internal investigating found that the Formosan company sold ban networking equipment to Iran .
