That ’s probably what went on in the nous of the 36 - class - erstwhile adult female who unwisely ( and drunkenly ) lit pyrotechnic and hoped the noise would wake up her quiescency boyfriend . She had planned to toss the firework out the front threshold but before she could , it detonate in her hand tearing off her thumb , middle and ring digit ( those are some pretty important fingers ! ) . The police pronounce the explosion was so powerful that they found off-white end embedded in the ceiling . Ouch . The Gainesville Sun ]
